Halloween Night, Flint and Abby, newlyweds against their parents best wishes, leave Reno, Nevada and head towards a start of their new lives together.

Driving, in the dark Nevada desert, they come to a sign reading 'Welcome to Hopeless, Nevada', which is nothing more than a four-way intersection, an abandoned Cafe and a flashing yellow light hanging in the center of the intersection.

As Abby checks the map. and is unable to find their location, the decision is made to turn left and after driving for a mere thirty-minutes they find themselves back at the sign welcoming them to Hopeless, Nevada and the flashing yellow light hung in the center of the four-way intersection. Only now, the lights outside the Cafe are on.

Pondering their decision, they turn right back towards Reno. After another thirty-minutes they once again arrive at the Hopeless, Nevada welcome sign, the flashing yellow light, and the Cafe, which now appears to be bright, open, and ready to serve customers.

Once more, they head out of Hopeless, Nevada. Once more, thirty-minutes later they arrive back at the Cafe, only now they find there are cars parked in the front lot and the shadows of patrons dance behind the dust covered windows.

Against Abby's wishes, Flint goes inside...
